And..as romanticized as the idea is, lelouch wants a world full of lies and terrible people, just as long as they are united. Light would have agreed more with lelouch's father.
So to answer your argument, light would kill lelouch. Well..that depends on the timing of light being magically thrown into the other anime.
Although sure, them being all squashed up does create a sense of confusion..but not the good kind.

oh, right! Lelouch and light do not hold their other identities, Zero and Kira hold them. Think about it..with what your saying, it would seem like these two just pop into their alter ego's at will..sort of like superman putting his tights on.
But that is not what these two are about. Their other selves consume the originals, they become Kira and Zero. Although both lose their memories at some point, this is done to illustrate to the audience the difference between lelouch/light and zero/kira pretending to be lelouch/light.

Though, This is just ONE of MANY ideas I possess for this mash-up, once I get a bit more time to experiment I plan to let loose a whole load of them. But as you said, people should be able to figure that one out.

to just figure that out.
If you want to expand on this, give it more space. These two are legendary characters, don't squash them up, it gives it too 'cozy' of a feeling. Remember, they both walk a lonely path and that is something you've forgotten to focus on with this piece.
To make the project a little more ambitious, but ultimately much more eye catching..you could also try to bring the third parallel into the picture, showing their transformation.
Maybe something like...the two characters as their day-to-day selves in much smaller, full bodied figures and the busts of their 'other' selves shadowing out behind them. I'm sure you can think of something.
All in all,
good idea but a lacking in the execution.
Wow. You must've put a lot of thought into this, huh? I like it! Everytime I watched Code Geass, I was reminded of Death Note. I'm sure I wasn't the only one. ^_^
The two how I think are related. . . in a way how they find peace. Two great shows, loved them both. Every end of each episode just grabs you to the next. Awesome wallpaper, and the perfect two to cross.
